Support for Ukraine

Stephen Rynn, a retired Quartermaster Sergeant, worked as a volunteer with a team of Ukrainian medical staff and Irish volunteers to co-ordinate some help for the war-torn country. Stephen, who worked most of his time in the Defence Forces in the Transport and Engineer Corp, organised 160 pallets of medical supplies, which were sent out in the first 4 weeks of the war. They also fully equipped 9 ambulances, donated by the HSE, which were sent into conflict areas.

Ryanair sent some medical supplies by air, free of charge, to Poland for the team. All the other supplies went overland to Ukraine using Ukrainian drivers who are working in Ireland.
